A poem on nature, and the connection we feel with it

I’ve always loved the sight of trees
And feeling a light breeze behind me
I love their colors, sizes, and shapes
It creates a sense of beauty, in being unique
I love the stillness of nature, yet feeling its existence
With only a bird’s chirping in the distance
I love how we can become one, unified
Like lovers from a past life, reunited
It’s that sense of comfort, that transcends time
It’s that wave of peace, that uplifts your soul
Like letting go of things out of our control
Or knowing when life is giving you a sign
In the forest, I can feel this clarity
I yearn for the day I feel this with someone
I know it’s quite the rarity.

I wanted to write something about nature, but connect it to its mysticism and its tranquility. There’s something special about going on a hike, getting lost in the woods, and enjoying the sights, sounds, and smells of nature. There’s some kind of inner peace that I’ve achieved when I’ve done this in certain places at certain times in my life.
I think it’s important to feel that comfort and peace with your partner. Otherwise, what's the point? I've been in relationships where I walked on egg shells, or I simply didn't feel this inner calm that I've experienced before with other people. So I wanted to bring it back to love, bring it back to nature, and connect the two on this piece.
